[Sponsored Review] Hello everyone!
Today I'll be introducing the John Frieda Full Repair™ that was sent to me recently for a review. Here's a look at what I received.
"People will pay if they know a product will make a difference and the reason why we are successful is because the products really do work." - John Frieda
Interestingly, before the products was sent to me, - John Frieda asked me a couple of questions to determine the specific range that will be best-suited for my hair.
Are you a Style Addict too?
I love the last line ....
"I am in a committed relationship .. with my hair dryer and curling/straight iron!"
The 5 products that was sent to me are the John Frieda Full Repair™ :
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Deep Conditioner
- Deep Infusion
- Root Lift Foam
My Hair Background :
I have extremely coarse and thick hair that has been damaged by my frequent hair dye sessions and heat styling abuse that I subject to my hair daily. I have naturally straight hair but they tend to act up and become frizzy in the local humid weather.
John Frieda Full Repair™ Shampoo
With Inca Inchi, a lightweight micro-oil rich in omega-3, this formula repairs the look and feel of overworked hair and adds body for full, flowing styles. De-tangles strands, reducing the risk of breaking and snagging while combing or brushing.
John Frieda Full Repair™ Conditioner
John Frieda Full Repair™ Root Lift Foam
How to use : Use on wet or towel-dried hair.
Section hair into 1-2 inch sections. Dispense 1 pump onto fingertips and work into hair section at the root. Continue resectioning and applying product until entire crown area is covered.
Heat style as desired.
John Frieda Full Repair™ Deep Infusion
How to use : Apply to clean, wet hair.
Use sparingly, dispensing 1 pump into palm. Rub hands together and distribute evenly, concentrating on ends and other damaged areas. Use more or less depending on hair length and thickness. Do not rinse out. Heat style as desired.
John Frieda Full Repair™ Deep Conditioner
How to use : Start with Full Repair™ Full Body Shampoo.
Smooth conditioner through wet hair. Rinse well. For intense repair, leave on for 2-5 minutes. Use 1-2 times weekly
First Impressions : The packaging looks and feels pretty expensive and I reckon that they look like they are sold in salons instead of being a drugstore brand. I've seen the brand in the US, so I was kinda glad that we finally have John Frieda locally and at Watsons, too! Each bottle comes with an abundance of information, from instructions on how to use each specific product, to the list of ingredients.
Overall Review : I think each product in this line actually complements each other. For example, I like how foamy the shampoo lathers up, but it felt slightly dry on my hair after I rinsed it with water. But after using the conditioner, I could feel an immediate softness as I combed the product through my strands. Secondly, I used the Protecting Lift Foam - a mousse-like foam into my damp hair roots as instructed. After drying my hair with a hairdryer, I could see that my hair has a slight 'volume' which is great for people who have fine hair. Lastly I finished off with 2 pumps of the Deep Infusion and I like how it does not feel like the usual oil serums that we are accustomed to. This product leaves no sticky or oily after-feel on my hands at all, and the fragrance actually lingers on my hair which I kinda like.
On another day when I had slightly more time - I used the Deep Conditioner as a Hair Mask for 5 mins and my hair felt luxuriously soft. Although I was quite surprised at how watery it was (as opposed to most hair masks being quite thick & creamy) - alittle goes a long way and if I need to recommend a single product from the John Frieda Full Repair™ range - the Deep Conditioner would be it.
