Vichy Aqualia Thermal Night Spa Sleeping Mask Review + Contest

[Review + Contest] Hi all! Its going to be the weekend soon (yays!) and my hubby is currently out of town on a work cum charity trip in Malaysia (where his project is based) and Im praying for Malaysia that the rain will stop so that the floods subside too. Its scary to see some of the pictures of the affected areas in Malaysia and how some families have to go without food and shelter for days. *sobs* Sometimes I feel so blessed that Singapore doesn't have to deal with all of these and even though Orchard might flood ~ the extent of the damages are really quite manageable as compared to our neighbors. Anyways Im so sad with the recent world news - mainly Air Asia and then the recent Paris shootings. What is the world coming to??? Arghhhh. #PrayforAirAsia #PrayforParis
On a much happier note, the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Night Spa Sleeping Mask came at the right time! Well, recently my skin has been feeling so parched.. I guess it might be the air-conditioning that Im so used to since pregnancy has really risen my body temperature by leaps and bounds! I can drink a bowl of soup and feel like Im in a sauna! Last week I walked from one building to another and was drenched in perspiration! Its really crazy and the hot afternoon sun doesn't help!
Vichy Aqualia Thermal Night Spa Sleeping Mask
The Aqualia Thermal Night Spa is a sleeping mask in the Vichy hydration range that offers a night spa treatment for rested, radiant and beautiful skin. Formulated with Hyaluronic Acid and Aquabioryl™, known to replenish the skin with hydration and form a protective film. Since its launch in late 2013, it has received several Beauty Awards and has been loved by Beauty Editors in Hong Kong, Taiwan, China and Singapore!

What is so special about the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Night Spa Sleeping Mask?
Ingredients
When I first received the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Night Spa Sleeping Mask, I was intrigued at how this would compare to other sleeping masks. I have a penchant for all kinds of masks so I was quite eager to give this a try. Upon reading the instructions, I realized that there was 2 ways to use this mask - 1. As a Sleeping Mask, or 2. A Night time Moisturizer.
Made for Dehydrated sensitive skin experiencing discomfort and signs of fatigue.
Experience similar benefits to those offered by a spa, in one night. The 15 mineral-rich Thermal Spa Water used at the Vichy Spa is associated with Hyaluronic acid to infuse skin with moisture and mineral during the night when it is most prone to get replenished. Allergy-tested perfumed formula. Paraben-free.
The Vichy Aqualia Thermal Night Spa Sleeping Mask has a light, watery-gel texture that feels cool when applied on skin. It has a fresh aqua fragrance that I'm little concerned about (I have sensitive skin) but I guess that adds on to the 'spa-like' experience that this Sleeping Mask is trying to associate itself with. It promises to give the user a luxurious feel in the comfort of your own home. :)
The Test
It spreads easily on skin and I left it on while watching a tv show. I applied a medium layer on cleansed skin and used a wet tissue to wipe it off before I washed off the reminder. Technically I didnt leave it on overnight as I prefer to use a mask in the afternoon and relax when no one is at home! Haha!

Overall Review : I love the subtle brightening effect of the mask! Frankly I wasn't expecting that at all as the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Night Spa Sleeping Mask touts itself more as a Hydration mask, rather than a whitening one so I was pleasantly pleased with the illuminating glow after use! My makeup glided on easily after each use and I woke up with hydrated skin the next morning. I had a dry patch (near my lip area) for the longest time and the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Night Spa Sleeping Mask got rid of it after using it as a mask twice in a week. I prefer to use it as quick hydrating mask, followed with my normal skincare routine and in addition, I realized that by placing the product in the fridge, it chills it nicely for a real ritzy treat especially great for hot summer days!
The Vichy Aqualia Thermal Night Spa Sleeping Mask retails at $48, and it’s available at Derma Center (#02-33 Westgate) and major pharmacies.
