Asience (New) Leave-On Treatment Review

Friday, May 10, 2013

Hi guys! Its the weekend already?
Yay! Last day of the work week and then time to kick back those heels and enjoy some leisure time at home or with friends and loved ones I hope :)
Recently I have been using a new range of Leave-in Treatment from Asience and the results have been quite positive so I just wanted to quickly share my thoughts on it with you.
Asience Leave-In Treatment Range
Contains ASIENCE’s exclusive Beauty Essences (Lotus Flower, Camellia Oil, Pearl and Shell Ginger Leaf), the range provides intensive repair and moisturises hair from within - specially for Asian Women

First Look :
ASIENCE Leave-On Treatment Water
Each bottle comes with a removable seal which ensures that no accidental spillage or leakage before you use the product. This product is in a liquid form, (aka "Water") and has a slight scent of flora fragrance when sprayed on hair. It tames frizzy-ness and prevents hair from harsh elements.
Simply remove the seal and point nozzle towards hair and press.
 ASIENCE Leave-On Treatment Milk
As described in its name,- "Milk", this leave-in treatment has a milky texture and is not sticky when applied. It has a thicker consistency and is advisable to use this product before subjecting hair to heating tools such as the hairdryer or curling iron.
ASIENCE Leave-On Treatment Oil
This smaller bottle contains a rich hair oil suitable for everyday use as it is not greasy or too oily. Similarly, all Asience products have a light scent upon application due to its flower extracts. I prefer to use this product as a last step to my leave-in hair care system. It provides a light sheen and tames hair flyways.
Hair Demonstration on the Usage of the Asience Leave-On Treatment Range
After your daily shampoo and conditioner - Apply Asience Leave-on Treatment water to damp hair.
I like to towel-dry my wet hair and spritz this product abundantly over my hair, including my hair near to the roots as the water treatment is light and will not clog my scalp or hair follicles. It is not advisable to do the same with the rest of the products mentioned here.
My hair is extremely dry due to my love for blow drying my hair! :(
However, I will include some tips on the correct way to blow dry hair with minimum damage in this post later on.
After I start to blow dry my hair for about 2-3 minutes (concentrating on the top of my head) , I add in the Asience Leave-on Treatment Milk for additional protection especially on the dry ends of my hair, towards the tips.
Start applying the Asience Leave-on Treatment Milk from below your ear
Continue to blow dry hair
I find that these extra steps actually makes my hair incredibly smooth and the best part is that this lasts all day!
Can u see the shine?
Lastly I pump 2-3x (do not use too much) Asience Leave-on Treatment Oil on the palms of my hands and smooth on to my dry hair as the last step
This adds additional shine and protection to my hair
It smells wonderful (scent of flowers) and is not overwhelming at all - I like that this Oil is not greasy and does not weight down my hair after applying it.
I usually curl my hair with a curling tong so right adding the Asience Leave-on Treatment Oil, I proceed to curl my hair.
Why curl it after you ask?
By doing so, this protects the hair from further heat damage :)
Spray on your favorite hairspray to maintain your curls! And you're all set!
Quick Tips on Blow Drying Hair
Final Review :
I like how light the scent is, without being overwhelming.
At the same time, this range is not greasy or none of the products weight my hair down throughout the day. My hair still felt soft the next day. And by adding these steps into my hair care system, I protect my tresses from the daily styling abuse that it goes through.
Most importantly, the Asience hair range is reasonably-priced yet does not compromise on quality. Good for the budget conscious girl who would like to try out additional hair products besides the regular shampoo and conditioner.
I recommend using the Asience Leave-On Treatment Milk  if you have extremely dry and damaged hair. If your hair is fine, try the Asience Leave-on Treatment Water instead. It is light and will not weigh your fine hair down further. If possible, do purchase the Asience Leave-on Treatment Oil for  a deeper conditioning and to add shine to your hair. Each product retails from $14.90 and up.
Thanks everyone for dropping by and I'm heading to the shower now after my yoga class ~
Off to a lovely dinner with my secondary schoolmates and perhaps alittle shopping before that! LOL.
Take care and enjoy the wonderful weekend, guys!
