One of my absolute favorite things to do is to get my nails groomed on a monthly basis! Im very particular over the state of my nails .. I cannot deal with chipped or broken nails one leh.. I would rather go short or plain! But no ugly nails! LOL #firstworldproblems

#truestory

[Nails Pics + Video] Hi guys! In between working on my other posts.. I decided to play n do a video with some of my recent video clips getting new nails done at Milly's! Haha! (Expect a short video later lol) I dunno why.. but one fine day, I just wanted to change my nail design.. and nail shape!

What is Chrome Hearts?

Chrome Hearts is an American luxury brand, founded in 1988 by motorcycle enthusiast Richard Stark, that specializes in high-end  jewelry, leather, cashmere clothing and ebony wood furniture with gothic and punk rock motifs. It is known for its jewelry items which feature fleur-de-lys, dagger and floral cross designs. They offer sunglasses and clothing with their signature designs. All items are made in Hollywood, USA. There are Chrome Hearts boutiques in: United States (first opened in New York 1996), Japan, Hong Kong, Paris, London, Taipei and Seoul. - source wiki.

These are my old 6 and a half weeks My Little Pony Gelish nails! They still look almost perfect until I broke my nail during the NYE countdown (and I dun even remember what happened, haha!) so it was great timing and an excuse to get them done for the new year.

My regular manicurist Corine at Milly's - Hair Lashes Nails (Bugis Branch) is carefully removing my Gelish by soaking them off with acetone and then buffing them to remove all traces of old Gelish polish. She then proceeds to trim dead skin and cut my cuticles.

Its not tedious at all and pretty fast.

I currently have natural mid-length nails but I decided to cut them a little shorter and go Square shaped this time round.

I alternate between Square and Oval nail shapes depending on design.

I also decided to do Hard Gel instead of Gelish which costs alittle more, but they tend to last longer. Gelish nails last an average of 3-4 weeks, and Hard Gel nails can easily last 1-2 months if you are really careful.

Milly's has a variety of blings and designs so do check them out if you are there!

I SPY CHROME HEARTS!

I love Black, bling and skulls and actually Im very into the Gothic black swagger kind of look so black nails are my ultimate love. They might not be very suitable for the upcoming Chinese New Year, so Im doing it for ang moh New Year instead! Can right!

My Little Pony!

I mean .. can u check out how PURPLE they are???

Twinkle Sparkle personifies purple!

Therefore, a visit to Milly's is totally rational and necessary.

Even though my Hello Kitty Nails is still looking great ... #guiltyface

I love love love my Hello Kitty, there is nothing more than loving Hello Kitty (Check out fellow kitty-lover Nadnut's Kitty Nails at the same time coz we both love Kitty) - but, but, but .. er, they're pink. And pink doesn't go well with purple as much as purple does. *flicks hair*

So hellooooooo new nails!

My friendly manicurist Corine files off my previous Gelish nails (Bye bye kitty!)

While I pick from all the different shades of purple for my toey-toes

Purple gradient pedicure!

My manicurist patiently hand paints all the colors for the background

Overlaying with an acrylic 3D heart

Topped with some silver beads for the oomph factor ...

And lastly ....

My Little Pony Nails!

Rainbows, hearts and ponies!

I really love this set of nails. I had so, so many friends (and their little daughters!) come up to me and touch my fingers, asking if they were stickers but nooooo~ these are totally and painstakingly, lovingly hand painted by Millys Nails!

Back to my nails ....... kekeke.

A look at my 4 Week Old nails ... Still quite perfect!

They are my natural nails, with Gelish. No chips or splits. Can you imagine. I got so irritated whenever my nails broke previously coz its so time consuming to repair the broken nail when the rest of the nails are fine! Seriously, who has the time! But ever since I've been with Milly's - my nails really LAST! For that alone, thumbs up.

And my pedicure ~

These lasted roughly around 8 weeks .. with a small chip on my toe toe. And these are normal nail polish .. not even Gelish!

Pictures dun lie!

Here's me ...

Looking at the color chart!

An array of pretty colors to choose from.

Let's START!

Soaking off my old Gelish nails

My nail technician filing it off

Trimming dry skin and cuticle cutting.

(Please dun try to cut your own cuticles at home! You might cut yourself!)

Every layer of Gelish and color has to be 'cured' under UV light.

First few layers done ..........

Drawing the french tips

Painstakingly ALL hand-painted!

Part 2

My Favorite Buys in Bugis

I wanted to show why I love Bugis so much!

All the cheap SHOPPING and great buys!

The shops here are small but there is air-con at most floors and I love how unique and interesting each shop is. Quite different from what we find in shopping malls. And at a fraction of the price, too!

The products here are mostly value for money, and very chic and fashionable.

I always end up shopping after doing my nails!

(And hair too coz my hair salon is also at Bugis! Yay-ness!)

I love the retro look too!

And skulls ........ my favorite!

This is one of my favorite shops in Bugis and I get alot of my rock t-shirts here. Their stuff are quite trendy and they always have a 2 for $20 promo which is really quite cheap! I dunno the exact address but its at the new wing of Bugis Village and its on the 3rd floor.

If you are also interested to know where I get my cheap trucker caps, this shop at main level 1 n- very near the entrance of Bugis Village is also my favorite! They always have lots of new designs and each cap cost around $12.50 which is the cheapest in Bugis Village after all the sourcing I went through! Some shops quote me $25 and thats nearly double of what I pay here. So do take a look the next time you drop by, ya! Dun let people carrot chop.

In the end .............

Ya lor ......

And I bought these that day!

Hehehehe!

These are my favorite cheap buys and I wear them all the time!

Hope you enjoyed this post and take care y'all! Stay indoors if the haze is getting to you.

Or perhaps can watch Legend Of Zeng Huan online like me ..... kekeke.

Thanks for dropping by!

xoxoxo

And thank you dearest Milly's for my lovely Hello Kitty Nails!

Love them xxxx

Off for dinner soon and replying emails!

Love.
