For this challenge, I agreed to clear out my original skincare routine and stop my current products in favor of the Infinity KOSÉ Realizing White XX range.
It has been 2 weeks since I am using the Infinity KOSÉ Realizing White Lotion, Serum and Deep Protective UV sunscreen.
Before I show you more pictures - I just wanna explain how MELANIN affects each and every one of us.
What is Melanin?
Also called pigment, - Melanin is a substance that gives the skin and hair its natural color.
It also gives color to the iris of the eye, feathers, and scales. In humans, those with darker skin have higher amounts of melanin. By contrast, those with less pigment have lighter or more fair skin coloring.
Melanin is a natural pigment that gives your skin its color. Melanin provides many benefits to human beings. One of the most recognized benefits involves ultraviolet rays of the sun. Melanin provides a natural protection against the harmful effects of these rays.
However, it does not provide complete protection from the sun, and individuals with darker skin tones are still at risk from the sun's damaging rays.
What does Infinity KOSÉ Realizing White XX do?
Product highlights
• Contains Kojic acid, the active whitening ingredient.
Reaches the deep, persistent causes of dark spots to make translucent skin. Suppresses melaninproduction, and prevents dark spots and freckles caused by the sun.
• The base and texture has a remarkable affinity for human skin, relaxing the skin to let the active ingredients penetrate and absorb deeply.
• Provides moisture and resilience to smooth out skin texture, leading to firm, glowy skin without unevenness or dullness caused by dryness.

Human skin color ranges in variety from the darkest brown to the lightest pinkish-white hues.
Also known as the Fitzpatrick Scale for Skin types, we can easily check out our individual skin genetics based on our natural skin color. Im a Type 4 and Im pretty tanned naturally!
Whats yours? :)
Check this out.
Hahaha! Okayyy .. granted that that's a reallyyyy old picture of me and the color's a little off due to the wear and tear. But I found a picture when I was 12! And if you compared my skin color with my primary school mates .. *insert troll face*
And then how about my secondary four graduation picture ....
Among the sea of white somemore, thanks arh.
Since Im showing you all my embarrassing pictures .. might as well throw a super ah lian one in.
Ya .. check out my best friend's copper hair.
Forward to 2010 ..
Here's when I went to Maldives
By the 2nd day in paradise ... I started turning a shade (or two) darker
Despite wearing a hat and slathering on heaps of sunblock!
And here's in 2011 - Bali
Went out fishing - ..... Habis la! (Read : *Finish la in malay)
Sunburn all the way ~
My 2 weeks into the KOSÉ Journey
I started taking pictures of my bare skin on alternate days upon starting the Infinity KOSÉ Realizing White XX Challenge.
11th March
A closer look.
And then I went fishing .. remember?
15-17th March
Catch sailfish damn clever and all .. and come back 3 shades darker.
Story of my life.
20th March
But I carried on using my KOSÉ products religiously
23rd March
Being a Type 4 skin type, I tend to suntan easily and not burn. However, the downside is that the tan usually stays on for a longer time - as say.. compared to a fairer skin-tone person.
But look at the difference now.
25th March
And my most recent picture - roughly 10 days after coming back from my fishing trip.
27th March
Not too bad!

Review : I've been pretty impressed by the Infinity KOSÉ Whitening XX range, to be frank! All pictures were not color edited in any way and I took them at the same spot around the same time. I really like how the products made my skin fairer, and although I still have some pigment and freckles, I still find the pictures quite amazing. Did u? :)
