Wednesday, January 28, 2015
As a leader among domestic Korean dermatology brands, CNP Cosmetics was established with participation of 50 dermatologists and ten years of expertise from the R&D stage, so as to manufacture products that best suited to skin of all types.
The company is making products safe from the five harmful elements (five No’s) through its (colorless, non-Alcohol, non-Paraben, non-Fragrance, non-Mineral oil) seven-step verification test processes, such as thorough testing and internal/external quality evaluation, by selecting skin-friendly elements based on a deep understanding of skin.
The number of products CNP Laboratory carries are quite extensive. They have items for basic skin care, special skin care, anti-pore, anti-blemish, masks, packs and signature star products. Im sure there's something for everyone!
CNP Dermatology was founded in 1996 with its first clinic in Yangjae, South Korea. Recognizing the importance of good after-treatment home care to address skin issues, the founders of CNP started their own product research and development in 2000. Just a few months into the year, CNP Cosmetics was born. Today, CNP Cosmetics is a leading pharmaceutical-level cosmetic line that has won numerous industry and consumer awards for its efficacy.
CNP Laboratory Media Launch
Walking into Four Seasons.. It was skincare galore! Exactly how I feel when Im in Korea! LOL ~ So many items so little time. I dunno where to start hahahaha
I really like how clean the packaging looks, which is not surprising as its developed by a team of dermatologists. I think they will look nice on any vanity table .. but most importantly, will they work?
What would a girl do with all these stuff in front of her???
One of the products that stood out with this Daily Peeling Foam (100ml $48.90) - The Daily Peeling Foam is a gentle peeling foaming cleanser that can be used daily. It contains Boswellia extract and CNP Patented Anti-Irritant Complex, which minimizes skin irritation with a mild peeling action.
Enriched with ingredients such as Prunus Mume Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Water, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, this light and refreshing Daily Peeling Foam is said to be gentle enough for the most sensitive skins (like mine!) to use every day.
It FOAMS up by itself! Like seriously!
It was a lovely night spent with some of my beauty blogger friends! Always love catching up with the girls at events like these xo (L-R) Me, Shirleen, Alethea, Maybeline
Nice seeing my friend Kat too!
And thanks to my usual kaki, Maybeline for sitting next to me! Too bad our YJ fell sick and we had to make do without her *missing ya gal! Get well soon xo* :(
CNP Laboratory Review
Armed with my press release and media kit .. taaadah! These are some of CNP Laboratory's best-sellers and star products which I couldnt wait to test!
Propolis Energy Ampule ($40.90 for 15ml)
This ampule contains concentrated Propolis extract also known as Honey Essence, it is well known for its antioxidant and moisturizing benefits. Also containing Hyaluronic Acid, the formula helps to maintain firm healthy glowing skin.
Directions : Apply a moderate amount on the entire face after cleansing, use every morning and night as part of daily skincare routine. For best results, use after toner.
Initial Impressions : The CNP Laboratory Propolis Energy Ampule also caught my attention during the media launch and although Im not a fan of serums/ampoules due to my sensitive skin, this product feels seemingly light and do you also know that you can mix this with your existing eye cream or even over your makeup to relieve dryness. I would liken the Propolis Energy Ampule as a skin booster and the concentrated serum (one drop was sufficient for my face) added an additional hydrating element to my current skincare moisturizer. I woke up with softer skin and would prefer to use this at night before my regular night cream and after toner.
Anti-Pore Black head Clear Kit ($14.10 for a box of 3 set)
Removes black heads and excess sebum to achieve healthy-looking skin without squeezing.
Directions :
Apply basic skincare products after washing face with warm water. Apply Blackhead Clear Mask 1 to area with blackheads for 10-15 minutes.
Remove the mask.
Wipe masked area with the enclosed cotton bud, in an upward motion towards the center.
Apply Pore Tightening Mask 2 to tighten the pores for about 5-10 minutes.
Remove the mask and pat the area gently to allow the remaining soothing gel to be absorbed into skin. * For best results, use a warm towel on the area with blackhead before using the mask to open the pores.
2-Step Quick Soothing S.O.S Mask & Power Brightening D-Day Mask ($6.80 for 01 Sheet/ $30.10 for 5 Sheets)
2-step Intensive Brightening D-Day Mask gives dull skin a boost. Giving skin a healthy glow with active ingredients like the Pearl extract, the mask also prevents skin from sagging and improves elasticity.
2-step Intensive Soothing S.O.S Mask works to calm and soothe skin affected by external factors like as stress, air-pollution and UV rays. Ampule contains seven complex plant extracts to penetrate skin deep during masking.
Unfortunately I had a minor skin breakout a couple of days prior (might be due to testing out a new product .. or pregnancy hormones? Im not sure argh!) so I really wanted to try the 2-Step Quick Soothing S.O.S Mask out. A soothing mask seems like the perfect solution to my red sports, oh yes please! I have rather sensitive skin so its easily triggered off by certain ingredients (esp if they are too rich) hence I have to be really careful with what I use normally.
Directions :
Step 01: Apply Intensive Soothing Ampule on entire face after cleansing.
The ampule is of a thicker consistency (some what like a gel) but it absorbed quickly into my skin once applied.
Step 02: Gently press Quick Soothing S.O.S Mask on entire face. Leave on and relax for about 15-20 minutes. Gently peel off mask and gently pat face allowing remaining serum to absorb well into your skin.
Initial Impressions : I liked how the Intensive Soothing Ampule felt on my skin upon application! It absorbed quickly without leaving a sticky feeling and immediately I applied the microfiber mask over my face. The mask felt moist but it didnt drip with essence, like the many masks out in the market. I guess the star ingredient of the mask is the ampule which was the first step (seen above) and the mask is just there to accelerate the ampule absorption on skin. After one use, my skin did feel slightly more calm (begone u red spots!) and hydrated.
Hope you like my short post on CNP Laboratory products and sorry I couldnt review all of them at one shot! So far Im quite impressed with the efficiency of the items that I have tried so far and Im really glad how foreign brands are choosing to break into our local market hence its sooo much easier for us to purchase and test them personally in stores now! There are some other products in the range that I am personally interested in and I would recommend you to try the Daily Peeling Foam ($48.90 for 100 ml), Propolis Deep Moisture Pack ($48.90 for 80ml) and Cleansing Perfecta ($34 for 150 ml) which were highly raved during the media launch. :)
CNP Laboratory is currently available at all Guardian stores island-wise.
