Escentials - A Rose Affair Event
Friday, January 23, 2015
Yesterday I spent a leisure afternoon at Escentials Paragon checking out the newly launched Maison Francis Kurkdjian's "À la Rose" perfume which not only looks pretty.. its smells PRETTY too! Paris-born Francis Kurkdjian is revered as one of the world's most talented perfumers. His eponymous luxury fragrance house was founded in 2009 & the À la Rose is his latest fragrance - perfect & just in time as a special gift for Valentine's Day, too!
In fact, the À la Rose wasnt the only newly launched item in the store, I also checked out one of my favorite candle brands - Diptyque's new Rosafolia limited edition range! Dun they look sooooo pretty (Im just going to use the word pretty many many times in this post becox it IS all so pretty, la!)
Some of the perfumes and fragrances I tried ..
I personally have the Diptyque Eau Rose and I always use it on days when I wanna feel all girly & romantic!
À la rose. Two hundred and fifty roses in every flacon offer their radiance and unmatched elegance. À la rose, a declaration of love captured in a fragrance.
Had some macarons too heehe.

Escentials is a multi-brand beauty retailer of niche, classic and contemporary beauty brands from around the world and they carry many exceptional brands like By Terry (Personally I use their pressed powder for touch-ups)
I have to admit that I love how By Terry (also the creator of YSL's most popular Touche Eclat) products look and feel but alas. my limited makeup budget most definitely does not allow me to own them all! Gazing is free right??
I was surprised to see Escentials carry Lipstick Queen! Based in Australia, creator Poppy King decided to create her own lipstick line because she failed to find what she liked! Now thats an incredible woman! I like her wacky and glamorous pin-up girl look (plus her signature red lips!) and her lipsticks are known to be incredibly hydrating and sheer at the same time.
Another cult favorite among many professional makeup artists and movie stars in the US .. the Glamglow range of masks! (Which I also personally bought and use from time to time.. perhaps I should do a review on it soon. Or soon-ish. LOL)
Diptyque is really one of my absolute to-go to candle brands currently because not only does the fragrance last, they look so pretty on my table top - I even keep the candle jars to hold my brushes, tweezers and what-not! They are expensive no doubt but they last sooo long!
Anyways thanks Escentials and Kay Lii for hosting us and introducing me to a world of roses! Now if only I can make up my mind on which fragrance to get ...... hmmmmmm
So lovely to meet up with my girls Maybeline and Fidelis too! Pardon my huge bulging tummy though.. I look like I swallowed a balloon I know! Me at #34Weeks and counting down to the last stretch! Off to my gynae checkup first thing in the morning today and then popping by the baby fair (just to see see look look) - if its too crazy Im getting outta there! Looking forward to my actual baby shopping next week at MothersWork, though! I love their stuff so much its crazzzy! Anyone is a fan? I'll update more, then! Cya all! xo Thanks for dropping by ~ love. xx
