-Bali December 2011-
As I start to think about my upcoming trip ... I suddenly remembered all about my previous Bali trip!
You can find part 1 here, part 2 here and part 3 here!
So here is part 4 of my Bali trip last year :)
Woke up bright and early to go breakfast before sight-seeing in Bali!
This is the view at Breakfast.
Off to see Bali proper!
Okie.. let me check where to go..
Staying at Ulu Watu - we decided to go to the nearby temple where the scenery was said to be very impressive. So yeah.. let's go!
Cute monkeys all over the temple area.
And yes! Look at the view! Very niceeeee~!
The temple is situated on top of a cliff, overlooking the ocean.
Saw a Bali-nese woman walking effortlessly with a sack on top of her head!
And there were so many steps but yet she looked so relaxed!
We had to walk all the way!
But first.. we camwhore.
Blue skies and blue sea.
More picturesque views of the temple.
And in the midst of all the photo-taking and posing..
Suddenly....I felt someone/something ...
SNATCH MY SUNGLASSES OFF MY FACE!
(Real-time candid shot!)
I could kill that bugger!!!!!
I know the tour guide warned me about all these little thieves but I totally forgot about it the moment we had to walk in the sun... Oh damn... there goes my new sunglasses! FML.
And Jungle Boy even had my pink fan snatched away by ANOTHER monkey while trying to get THIS monkey to drop my sunglasses.. FHL.
It was scorching so I had to pop by a shop nearby to get new sunglasses!
Boo hoo... saddest part of my holiday!!!!! Can cry lor.
No fish, prawn also can la.
(Quite) Happy girl again!
But inside still crying for my pretty ribbon sunglasses *sob*
Next stop.. batik factory!
Batik dye-ing machines.
Love the colours!
Artwork sold in most places.

Soon it was time for lunch.
(After all the monkey drama!)

There was so many temples along the road.
Rice field next to the restaurant!!!
We arrived at Ibu Oka!
Suckling pig - done Bali-nese style.
Yummy! (beer's not mine)
We ordered the set rice! Suckling pig, rice, vegetables and a soup.
Entrance of the restaurant.
Off again!
Along the roads.
Our tour guide brought us to Bali Pulina!
\
Have u heard of this place? :)
Can u guess it already?
Ok, another clue.
This man is roasting coffee beans!
These are not ordinary coffee beans .. in face they are also commonly known as Cat's Poo Coffee!
Kopi luwak or civet coffee, is one of the world's most expensive and low-production varieties of coffee.
It is made from the beans of coffee berries which have been eaten by the Asian Palm Civet (Paradoxurus hermaphroditus) and other related civets, then passed through its digestive tract.
A civet eats the berries for their fleshy pulp.
In its stomach, proteolytic enzymes seep into the beans, making shorter peptides and more free amino acids.
Passing through a civet's intestines the beans are then defecated, keeping their shape.
After gathering, thorough washing, sun drying, light roasting and brewing, these beans yield an aromatic coffee with much less bitterness and is widely noted as the most expensive coffee in the world with prices reaching $160 per pound.
Trying to smell the freshly roasted coffee.
Different kinds of herbs and spices.
Vanilla pods!
Shall we head to the cafe for a cuppa?
Free tasting of other types of coffee and tea.
Overlooking the rain forest.

Im a coffee-lover so I bought a small jar of poo coffee home!
Anybody wanna come my house drink poo? Hehehehe.
Random temple shots.
Went to the city market for some walk walk.
Along the streets.

Another cool auntie!
Just simply snapping people along the way.

Soon it was getting late so we headed for dinner!
We went to the Jimbaran beach - a prefect place to unwind and watch the sunset while having a sumptuous fresh seafood dinner with some beer!
Strolling by the beach first.
Place was MAGICAL!

Local children playing with sand and sea.
I love this pic!!!!!!
How innocent is a child's laughter.
:)
Go early to get a table right facing the beach!
A Bintang sounds like a great idea.

Reflections.
(Thru my fake Dior that I bought that morning .. haha!)
And the sun with its beautiful golden rays.
Our food is here!
Not before long... The skies turn PURPLE.
:D
It was so romantic.
With the sea breeze, the delicious food all while overlooking the sandy beach.
Different restaurants have different kinds of live entertainment!
Bali-nese dance!
It was a lovely way to end the last night of our wonderful Bali trip ~
We sat under the stars and talked about so many things!
At times, we just looked at each other and feel contented to be together ..
Just the two of us - In this great big universe.
:)
"For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart.
It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul."
-Judy Garland

Back soon.
Have a great, great weekend all.
Hello Kitty Theme Song for everyone!
Guess who showed me this!
