PartyDiva.Co is a collaborative E-commerce and marketplace for gifting and party planning that connects and provides customers and vendors a seamless experience for any celebration on a single platform.

Isn’t this such a DREAM??? I created a soft #glamping theme as the backdrop for our dinner party out on our patio, with the soft golden hour sun - and once PartyDiva.Co arrived with the food and items, everyone was suitably impressed with the whole setup plus party themed items from PartyDiva.co too!

I love how PartyDiva.Co included these CUTE cake/food toppers with popular local slangs like “Jalan, Jalan” and “Jiak Kuang Tang” that I added to my mini buffet from Amici Catering!

I’m usually afraid to waste food coz my family is rather small (Total 7 pax plus in-laws and my dad) so this mini gourmet 5-course National Day buffet is the perfect portion for us! AMICI’s Catering’s Mini Gourmet Buffet ($108+) serves 5-7 people and includes 5 dishes (1 main + 4 sides) from a wide selection of up to 15 dishes to choose from. Plus, it also comes with a complimentary 6” Raspberry Lychee Rose Cake to end the meal on a sweet note!

The other highlight on my food menu is definitely the limited edition 8-inch Nasi Lemak Cake with ingredients to represent our ethnic groups - Sambal Goreng Tempeh Anchovies Peanuts in Kicap Manis (Malay), Papadum (Indian), Fried Shrimp Paste (Chinese) and Blue Pea Rice (Peranakan)! How INNOVATIVE is that! The blooming tea from Petale Tea in heat-resistant tea glasses also added a dreamy touch to the set up because you can actually witness the flower bloom before you enjoy the beautiful cup of tea packed with a slew of health and beauty benefits!

This limited edition Nasi Lemak Cake from Nasi Lemak Indulgence really blew us all away! Everyone was commenting how it was a different tasteful experience and how meaningful each ingredient was as they represents the different ethnic groups. (I’m part Peranakan, btw!) 😆

My kids absolutely LOVED it and attacked (read : ate all) the cutest red and white kuehs that symbolizes the Singapore FLAG! How talented is my friend #bossbabe Elizabeth - each traditional handmade kueh platter ($37.50) comprises of mini png kuehs (rice cake), kueh lapis and even these perfect little Merlion ang ku kuehs (with grated coconut fillings)! 😍

We also had these special Nana Sling cocktails in gorgeous glass bottles from Three Wisemen and lemme also just say .. these drinks were preeeetty potent. 😝 Nana Sling is a seasonal Summer cocktail that requires 5 days to make. An unmistakably tropical concoction, this drink is a heady mix of lemon juice, homemade blossom water, pomegranate syrup and Brugal Rum-infused bananas, all combined with the intense orange flavour from shots of Cointreau.

The party ended perfectly with Amici Catering’s complimentary Lychee Rose Cake! PS the cake is super NICE with a fragrance of rose and lychee bits, everyone had seconds!

Ho, ho, ho! HAPPY 55th Birthday to the best country (to me!) ever! I love you Singapore! #SG55

Thank you Singapore for being a lovely place to live in where my friends and family are. You’re not perfect of coz - but I’m thankful and proud to call myself a Singaporean. 😚

Majulah, Singapura!

On days when we are desperately craving for crabs - its great to know that 8Crabs provides freshly cooked Sri Lankan crabs within an hour! Look at my spread! 😋

We chose to have Chili Crabs this time round because what’s more yummier than dipping freshly fried mantou into a sea of thick chili crab sauce? The boys swooped on the mantou immediately the moment the delivery arrived!

8crabs is the only seafood import wholesale and crab delivery service in Singapore using grade AAA premium Sri Lankan sourced wild crabs. Prepared by 5 star chefs, the gravy was a good mix of spiciness, sweetness and rich with beaten egg! They also strictly do not cook dead crab (eeks, i know some places do! 😓) and all food are cooked from the time you order! 👏

Golden mantou

The boys enjoyed their hor fun, with the gravy and fresh prawns ~ this serving was pretty big for my family too!

The Sambal Kang Kong was crunchy, but I would prefer it with a slightly more sambal balachan spice if possible coz I’m a huge chili fan

I enjoyed the Claypot Beancurd! The mix of vegetables and beancurd was perfect over steaming rice too!

Sweet and sour pork was a crowd favorite! It was still warm when it arrived and juicy inside.

All in all I felt that the meal was pretty value for money (Around $150) considering how huge and fresh our Sri Lankan crab was. The meat came off easily without sticking to the shell - and that to me is a testament of how fresh their crabs are. The best part was also how speedy the delivery was (we ordered a few days in advance though) coz the food was still piping hot when it came. I would love to try the Salted Egg crab next with fried rice perhaps!

Kids fave!

Look how huge the crab claw was! Which is your favorite part of a crab?

For orders, head over to https://8crabs.com/ and take a look at what they have to offer! Express 1 hour deliveries are at $18, but spend $120 for free delivery!

Thanks 8Crabs for the lovely meal!

My gal friend Milly is one of my gal pals that I have known for yearssss and although she is so busy jetting between Singapore and China for business - we never fail to catch up whenever she’s in town. We can eat at the food court and talk for ages, or at a cafe sharing a piece of cake and we are totally comfortable with that! We can talk til the place is about to close and we still have 20634 things to talk about under the sun 💖

And yes if you find her name familiar, she is the brains behind the business Millys where i get all my gorgeous eyelash extensions and nails done. I never let anyone else do my lashes, because I love their Y-lash extensions and how their glue doesn’t sting my eyes at all! I have sensitive eyes so I would just keep to something that have been serving me well for so long! (yes i have extensions on for years - I cant live without them, really!)

One of my favorite combo - seaweed tempura with a generous serving of uni! The salty taste of the sea from the uni is a perfect match with the fried seaweed and then if that’s not good enough, its topped with caviar and wasabi!

More, more more truffles please! I’m such a huge fan of truffles so i will always request for a truffles dish if its in season! (This is from the set menu though, so I’m so happy!)

The perfect ending to my meal and wonderful company - Truffles over uni and ikura rice #yummyinmybelly 😍

But of course the more important part of my meal is to be able to catch up with my lovely friend, who is beautiful inside and out ❤

“There is nothing better than a friend, unless its a friend with chocolates.”

Looking at these pictures brings me back to my lovely brunch at home .. although I would very much rather be sitting in The Capella, having delectable Roast Chicken by the beach side. Haha .. but still, this was a very much welcomed treat! Especially after all the home cooking during #CircuitBreaker season now! 😝

The Capella Singapore has specially curated a takeaway menu to brighten this tense period and each delectable set comes with an appetizer, main course and dessert. I chose the Roasted Chicken Set, and boy, it didn’t disappoint!

The Roasted Chicken was so juicy even though its a takeaway order 👍 Every course was packed in a biodegradable disposal takeout pack and kept warm in a thermal bag.

So basically I just had to open, plate and sit back and enjoy with a glass of wine! 😋

The fresh Mesclun green salad with balsamic dressing was refreshing and we shared the tomato soup (not really a fan of tomato soups though!) 😆

I took seconds of the cheese roll but i added my own butter, yum!

Overall, we really enjoyed this delectable feast on a Sunday afternoon with the family! This portion serves 4, but our family of 4A2C found the portion adequate! Maybe we should have added a side portion of pasta like the Linguine Bolognese from the ala carte menu for the kids coz they are such carb lovers 😄 But all in all, the family had a fabulous time with the treat! Definitely a 5*star experience and food during this #circuitbreaker season ❤ I reckon this is the perfect feast for mummies this coming Mother’s Day to take a break from all the cooking! *hint hint to hubby* 😂😝

Thanks The Capella Singapore for the lovely indulgence!

[Kid Friendly #Whitebait Fried Rice Recipe✨] Fried rice has always been my family’s favorite and I love how versatile this recipe is! 😍 Growing up, fried rice has always been a sample at home and I love mine with a lot of red cut chili and sambal balachan! 😻

I like using whatever ingredients I have in the fridge, so really - the options are endless! I advocate no-wastage, coz food is really so expensive! And I hate to throw away food, so fried rice is always a perfect way to use up all the leftover rice from the night before 😇

Today I’m using fried whitebait, sliced threadfin (for the toddler) and mock crabmeat stock (for myself mainly 😅), along with #Hokkaido sweet corn and frozen peas/carrots. 🥕

Recipe

🥦Slice fish & crabmeat, beat eggs marinated with @liloikanbilis NEW Whitebait powder.

🥦Add oil (same oil used to fry whitebait) to pan and stir fry some chopped garlic.

🥦Add protein in and continue to stir fry. You can add some prawns for older toddlers. Add vegetables in, together with rice.

🥦 Create a “hole” in the middle of the pan with rice around and pour beaten egg in the middle. Continue frying and mix rice, egg and ingredients together. Make sure rice is well coated with egg.

🥦 Add some @liloikanbilis mushroom powder, splash of sesame oil for flavor.

🥦 I had some leftover whitebait, so I simply rinsed, dry and deep fry as a topping with my rice for a crunchy bite!

😋 Add more @liloikanbilis whitebait powder for added taste ✨💯

*Tip : Use overnight cold rice, or cook fresh rice with lesser water and leave to cool down before frying.

I have to eat it with lotsa red cut chili padi! So spicy, but SO GOOD!

Hope you enjoyed this little recipe! I’ve always liked cooking simple food for the family and I sincerely hope you will love these as much as I do! ❤

The last time I went to the other theme cafe ah, we waited and waited coz they were so s.l.o.w poke until we had to share mains coz they served dish by dish like what, chinese wedding ah. LOL
